Employment Rights (USERRA)
The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) protects the civilian employment rights of service members, veterans, and Reserve/Guard members. It ensures you can return to your civilian job after military service with the same seniority, status, and pay.
USERRA applies broadly: It covers virtually all employers regardless of size, including federal, state, and local governments, and private employers. There is no minimum employee count required.
